Introduction
About the breeder, Kennel Monsterosa and its operating principles.
Kennel Monsterosa breeds Brasilian Terriers on a small scale in our home. I have taken the breeders basic course in 2008 and I am planning on taking the advanced course soon. My goal is to breed healthy, well-mannered dogs that are suitable to their intended purpose and agree with the breed standard. Breeding is a matter of heart to me so every mating is thoroughly thought out. Quantity does not substitute quality. The dogs live their lives with us and go where we go in our lives. To me the well-being of animals has the highest priority.
I educate myself on the breeds I have, breeding and on general dog care. I make myself familiar with the dogs I breed so that I know their valid breed standard and purpose. I am committed to publishing the health results of my dogs and to general openness about my dogs' faults or maladies. I will openly give information about my dogs' properties. All dogs used for mating by Kennel Monsterosa must have their eyes and knees officially checked by a qualified veterinarian. I also encourage the owners of Monsterosa dogs to have their dogs checked even if the dog is never used for breeding. My principle is that I do not mate dogs under the age of two years. Children do not need to have children. By my standards, a dog has to be both mentally and physically grown up before mating. I do not strain the bitches by mating them too often. Our dogs are vaccinated and dewormed according to the Finnish regulations. I aim to train my dogs to the best of my ability so that I do not disturb anybody by having dogs. I train both agility and obedience with my dogs. We also attend dog shows on a regularly irregular basis. Dog shows are a good but not the only way of getting feedback about your work as a breeder.
The puppies are born and grow in our living quarters with us. They get used to the sounds of a home and to being around other dogs. When selling a dog, I make a written agreenment using the official form by the Finnish kennel club. When placing a dog on breeding terms, I use the official form by The Finnish kennel club. The price of the dog includes all registration fees, related documents and a written guide to dog care. When handed over, the puppies are registered, microchipped, checked by a veterinarian, dewormed and come with an ample starting package. The help and support of the breeder is always available. I hope that the puppies' new homes are active and treat their dogs as members of the family. I favor homes with dog-related hobbies. I would very much like to hear about the dogs throughout their lives.
